Add Element -- WON'T SAVE OR APPLY

I just tried a fresh install of Fabrik from the download. I also have tried from the SVN. Both of them will not allow me to save a new element. Everything else works. What's the problem?

Do you get a javascript error, are you using a custom admin template
or does it submit and hang when contacting the server?

I had a similar problem a few weeks back and Traced it back to having installed wysig pro text editor mambot. once I changed the text editor it worked fine. Just thought I would offer this info incase your case is the same :)
