One List - Multiple Forms??

Is it possible to have one list, but multiple forms? And further, is it possible to have an element pointing to the same data field but having different settings in the element definition.

Thanks,
Paul.

Yes. Copy your list, with the Copy button on the main Lists tab.

That will create a complete new "set" of List / Form / Group(s) / Elements, which use the same underlying table, and initially have identical settings.

You can then change that copy to have different settings for any of the components - different pre-filters on the List, different element settings, etc.

Note that initially, element in your copy will be "linked" to the one they were copied form, and inherit any changes you make to the parent element. If you want to change the settings of a copied element, it will prompt you to "unlink" it, and from then on that copy is no longer linked and no longer inherits settings from the parent.

As per my first response:

So yes, it uses the same underlying table. It's just a way of getting a different "view" on to a table.

Thank you.
