image in email plugin

Good afternoon,

With the help of the great forum I was able to have a schedule working almost the way I would like to. Is there a way to have an image in the mail as well.

I use this code <img src=?http://www.mydomain.com/happy_birthday.jpg? > I also tried ,html> and </html> before and after the code, but all I see is this.

bla bla bla

Am I asking/wanting too much or is it simply not possible.

I uploaded the image to /public_html

Guess what I want is not possible, as no one seems to know an answer.

Can you give some more informations?
Mainly:
Is the image displayed if you put your URL into the browser?
Did you enable image display (external, non-embedded) in the settings of your mail programm?

Which plugin ? list/form?
Where did you put this code?

Hello Troester,
I didn' t mean to be rude. Just wanted to know what i asked was possible or not.
You helped me with a placeholder solution for the same email plugin before. And suggested to use <br> to get a new line. So I thought I could use a html code for place an image in the email plugin and the birthday plugin.
I created alist with birthdays, want to send The guest a personolized email. So far so good but would like to have an image in that mail.


i placed the could in the email, after a <br>
The image is not displayed when using the url.
I copied the image to
Public_html on my server. That si weher Joomla wants it or am I wrong?

If the image isn't displayed via URL it can't be displayed in the mail at all.

I don't know what is your Joomla root, it depends on your setup, redirects... (where are the Joomla folders administrator... located?)
So make sure you can display your image via URL.

Hello Troester,


After returning home I started to work on my birthday email again.

As on your request I see the image when I use the url.
http://embudu.com/happy_birthday.jpg


I use this code in the email message,

<img scr="http://embudu.com/happy_birthday.jpg" align="center">
But for some reason the email does not show the jpg, nothing, not even a ?

Any advise how to make the jpg visible in the mail?

I tried another code <img alt....>


If I use this one I only see the text http://embudu.com/happy_birthday.jpg


Does this mean the plugin doesn't accept all html codes?
