pb use element rating

Hello I have a problem on the element rating: I want only one user type 'manager' can be changed (to vote): I can not set it
I put access to the account 'manager in editing and adding and I put the following option:
(and I've also tried every possible combination of the following option)

'Rating mode: creation rating or' user rating '
'No rating option first: no or yes'
'Rate in form', 'yes or no'

brings nothing to do: not only allow a user manager to use
Either it is blocked to complement everybody and I have this message: PLG_ELEMENT_RATING_ONLY_ACCESSIBLE_IN_DETAILS_VIEW

Either it is accessible to any user

Also despite the option 'No rating option fist' non She always andis entry appears activate

The rating element doesn't support this. ACL's don't really apply to the rating element in the same way as other element types, as the ating element is designed to be "editable" in what would usually be "read only" views for normal elements. For instance, you can set a rating in list view, even though that's not "editable" for any other element type.

All you can do with ACL's for the rating element is control who can actually see it at all, not who can see it AND who can use it to rate.

We could probably add a "Who can rate" ACL setting to the element, though. Sounds like a useful thing to have.

I'll take a look at the code, see what that would involve.

Indeed it would be interesting to block the vote to the public and restricted to a user group. Meanwhile how to hide the element in the form view (I always visible with the title of the text:
PLG_ELEMENT_RATING_ONLY_ACCESSIBLE_IN_DETAILS_VIEW

Try updating from github. As of this commit:

... there should now be an ACL setting to control who can rate, when in 'user' mode.

Can you test this, let me know if it fixes your issues. You should now not need to mess with the main element ACL's (form, detail, list), and just set who can actually rate.

See the wiki for instructions on updating from github. Basically, just download this file:

https://github.com/Fabrik/fabrik/archive/joomla3.zip

... unzip it, and upload EVERYTHING in it, overwriting the existing files on your site.

Of course, as with any updating of J! or components, you should backup your site first.

Doesn't look like a Fabrik issue. Looks like a missing J! file. I would suggest downloading the appropriate J! update ZIP from here:

https://github.com/joomla/joomla-cms/releases/tag/3.3.6

... unzip and upload it all.

That should replace that missing com_users helper filer, and any other files that may have gotten broken in the upgrade.

What did you do exactly?
If Joomla files are missing you'll need the stable_full-Package to be sure to get all files.

Fabrik: you don't need to upload fabrik_build

looks like you have deleted a lot of files

I would suggest:
download https://github.com/joomla/joomla-cms/releases/download/3.3.6/Joomla_3.3.6-Stable-Full_Package.zip
unzip
upload to your Joomla root (FTP, ie folders are merged, not replaced)
test
if it's ok, install Akeeba, backup, copy the backup file to somewhere
update Fabrik from GitHub (again upload with FTP, merging the folders, not replacing)

I n the futur when l want update fabrik l must do again this action (updating by ftp with gibhub)
