• Hello Fabrik Community

Fabrik is now in the hands of the development team that brought you Fabrik for Joomla 4. We have recently transitioned the Fabrik site over to a new server and are busy trying to clean it up. We have upgraded the site to Joomla 4 and are running the latest version of Fabrik 4. We have also upgraded the Xenforo forum software to the latest version. Many of the widgets you might have been used to on the forum are no longer operational, many abandoned by the developers. We hope to bring back some of the important ones as we have time.

    Exciting times to be sure.

The Fabrik 4.0 Official release is now available. In addition, the Fabrik codebase is now available in a public repository. See the notices about these in the announcements section

We wish to shout out a very big Thank You to all of you who have made donations. They have really helped. But we can always use more...wink..wink..

Also a big Thank You to those of you who have been assisting others in the forum. This takes a very big burden off of us as we work on bugs, the website and the future of Fabrik.

possibilities vertical screen setup?

Hi all,

please see attached screenshot of a screen we built in Fabrik for a creditmanagement application. I am aware we could have a more professional look AND much more info on one screen if we could set up vertically rather than horizontally. The blue bars in the attached screenshot are the headers of linked tables joined to the main source of data. Is there any way we can make this appear vertically, so for instance buttons on the left (are now on top of group), general data/info to the right of that, and the invoice and notes info further to the right?

Appreciate your comments
Maurice

I don't see what the one thread has to do with the other? As indicated we do not have Joomla 3 yet. Are you saying that there is a template that will allow vertical buildup of the screens?

No. But any work you are doing now on J! 2.5 Fabrik templates has to be done again after you have Joomla3.

Can you post a screendhot (jpg) of what you mean with vertical buildup?

Attached a really quick and dirty sketch. So all the same elements in it that we have (see the first attachment in the thread) but with the joint subgroups to the right of the main form iso below.

thanks in advance

Better upload an image...

It should be possible by adding custom CSS to the template.
Do you know how to?

Edit your groups and reset to 1 column.
Edit custom_css.php, set group 1+2 to float:left, set group width and height and group 3+4 to overflow:auto

Should this layout be responsive?

One of my programmers is getting the hang of css; will check with him, thanks!
Wrt your question on responsiveness, no, we don't see people using this from many other places than their work computer, so we built the application on the minimum width expected to be visible on all desktops

We are in need of some funding.
More details.

Thank you.
