[SOLVED] Empty Group field with notempty validation interfering with saving record

Hello, I have a list left-joined with another list, and one of the grouped elements has a "notempty" validation. When I try to save Form with nothing entered in any of the grouped elements, the validation triggers and I can't save. However, my understanding is that validations in child elements should NOT trigger unless data was entered.

Just to confirm, I created 2 simple tables (Test Master & Test Child) without adjusting any parameters and was able to recreate the problem. I've attached a screenshots of the error and my validation settings.

Can you confirm if you are experiencing the same issue or if I got my info wrong?

Found a workaround after digging some more in the forum. If I set the Group's "Repeat Min" to "0" then no initial record is added and I can save without the validation being triggered.
