Custom id-field

Hi

My customer would like to have a custom ID field:
This contains: 2 number with the userID and 2 unique incrementing numbers per user (not the default rowid)

The userID is stored in {mkb_bedrijf___convenant}
The incrementing numbers per user need to be created.

The idea is to have: (userID)-(companyID)
01-01
01-02
01-03

02-01
02-02
02-03

03-01
etc.

How can we create a (companyID) and combine both fields?

It can be done with a calculation element but it is not clear what your setup is.

2 number with the userID

So it's no Joomla user ID?

Is it in the same form?
Which type of element (e.g. a databasejoin pointing to some sort of additional user table)?
How is this element filled: by an admin typing/selecting the userID? as a default value related to a logged in user?

Do you have/need a company table related to this companyID?

Hi Troester,

The user ID is also the same as Joomla user ID (I needed a fabrik user plugin also for limiting)
and it's all in the same form.

The companyID is not created yet, don't know what's the easiest way.

Well I think troester is asking how we know what "company" a user belongs to? Do you have a company table, with a join element to it on your users table?
