mouse mover over tooltip

Can I have a mouse move over tooltip in list view. I have a field called status that holds values red, amber and green. Another field called notes, which is set to hidden in list view, although when I hoover over status it should show the notes. Has anyone done this and any help would be grateful.

The same place where you entered the tooltip (Element - Publishing - Tips tab)
Show tips in list view = Yes

I have not entered any tooltips, I have a status field with radio buttons and a note field. I want the notes feild to show when I hoover over status in list view.
