Apply WHERE clause on CDD only on New records

Hi

I have a question...
In the dbjoin element there is an option to select when to apply the WHERE clause (New, Edit, Both).
In the CDD element there is no such an option neither in F3.0.9 nor in F3.3.4....
Is it possible somehow to apply the WHERE option in the CDD element only when adding new records?
I ask for this because in WHERE clause I run an ORDER BY RAND() LIMIT 1 which reverts the value every time the form is loaded.

A "quick and dirty" solution would be to copy the list and in the new one change the CDD element..;-)
However it's not so elegant!

That's something we might add in the future, but not in 3.0.9.
