passing element value from the list to other articles

Hello,
I am trying to find the best or easiest way to pass the element value to other Joomla's articles.
I could setup a detail view but I just need only one element value to pass onto the article.
I could create a custom link and add element value as a parameter. But I don't know how to retrieve that value from URL to the Joomla article.
Is there any easy way around?
What I am doing is just passing Youtube video ID to another article and play on that page.

I think you need to create custom article layout.
Then you can get youtube id from url.

If you want to insert only a single Fabrik element value into an article, the Fabrik content plugin should do: http://fabrikar.com/forums/index.php?wiki/content-plugin/#element-data

But I don't know how to retrieve that value from URL to the Joomla article.

This (extracting a value from a query in an URL) sounds somewhat different from inserting a Fabrik element value into an article. Anyway, it can be done as well, e.g. with Sourcerer and PHP: https://extensions.joomla.org/extension/sourcerer
