• Hello Fabrik Community

Fabrik is now in the hands of the development team that brought you Fabrik for Joomla 4. We have recently transitioned the Fabrik site over to a new server and are busy trying to clean it up. We have upgraded the site to Joomla 4 and are running the latest version of Fabrik 4. We have also upgraded the Xenforo forum software to the latest version. Many of the widgets you might have been used to on the forum are no longer operational, many abandoned by the developers. We hope to bring back some of the important ones as we have time.

    Exciting times to be sure.

The Fabrik 4.0 Official release is now available. In addition, the Fabrik codebase is now available in a public repository. See the notices about these in the announcements section

We wish to shout out a very big Thank You to all of you who have made donations. They have really helped. But we can always use more...wink..wink..

Also a big Thank You to those of you who have been assisting others in the forum. This takes a very big burden off of us as we work on bugs, the website and the future of Fabrik.

Yes, that worked for me! Thanks for all your help!

    javascript file location

Yes, that did work after all, thank you! I was losing hope of finding the div name but with your hint (dv.fb....) I was able to do so. Last question, just curious, do you know if there is a way to use this syntax to operate on an entire Fabrik group (other than just naming each element in the...

    javascript file location

Thanks Juuser. This is not working, and I've come to the conclusion that this is basically impossible. I will probably just keep using the Fabrik-predefined actions as God intended, however cumbersome that may become.

    javascript file location

Each element in Fabrik has a number of preset javascript effects that one may select to run when certain events occur. One of those effects is called "slide out" and another is "slide in." I am trying to replicate those exact same predefined effects in the custom javascript box (or separate...

    javascript file location

Okay, thanks. I'll check again. In response to juuser, here is a simple example of what I am trying to do, except that instead of ".hide()" and ".show()" I want to be able to use "slide out" and "slide in". function choose() { var form_47 = Fabrik.getBlock('form_47'); var elem1 =...

    javascript file location

Thank you for your response. I had actually already reviewed both the "Element Javascript" and the "Element Javascript (Advanced)" articles in the wiki pretty thoroughly, and unfortunately I was unable to find any indication where the element javascript code is located or example code that is...

    javascript file location

Could someone point out where is the the file or location of the javascript code that is created when I set a javascript action for an element? I am just trying to get an idea as to required syntax to create a custom javascript action. I have looked in the media\com_fabrik\js directory but...

    example code for element javascript

Thank you. I was afraid I might just get referred back to that page, which I've already reviewed, but unfortunately doesn't seem to have the example code for the actions I am trying to do. Oh well. I will keep trying and if anyone else has any other ideas for this newbie, I'd appreciate it!

    example code for element javascript

Sorry this is a very basic request. I have several elements that each have many, many javascript actions using the pre-defined javascript. I have not found a way to get to set the pre-defined actions to allow for logical operators so as to cut down on the number of predefined actions, for...

    Basic question about access restriction

Ok, the Guest User Group was set to "Registered" for some reason. I switched it to "Guest" and now is working as expected. Thank you!

    Basic question about access restriction

I've actually set the forms to "Registered" access level, but can still access them when I'm not logged in. I thought the idea was that guests who are not logged in would not be able to access those forms if access was set to "Registered" but maybe I am missing something....

    Basic question about access restriction

Thank you. I've set the access to all the menu items and the lists to "Registered User." I am still able to access these forms while not signed in. Maybe I am not understanding the meaning of "access" or "registered user." Does the "access" restriction just prevent the data being saved in...

    Basic question about access restriction

I'd like to prevent access to my forms by non-registered users. Is there a way to do this? I have not been able to get the element access restrictions to work, but that is not really what I want. I would really like to prevent the entire form from even being viewed by a non-registered user...

Back Button redirects to page other than previous page

Apparently the problem was that my redirect url was "https://localhost/joomla/index.php?..." and when I changed it to just "index.php?....." the back button started working as expected. Thank you :) !

Back Button redirects to page other than previous page

Here is the html that is rendered for the back button, when I go from one form to the next using the redirect on submission option: <button type="button" class="btn button" onclick="parent.location=''" name="Goback"> Back</button> I would like the parent.location to be the url of the...

Back Button redirects to page other than previous page

So, I have added redirects to all of my forms now, so clicking "Save" will jump to the next form in the sequence. I have not set any of the redirects to use the "Save and Next" (the option shown under the jump page URL in the redirects plugin) because when I select "yes" for that option, it the...

Back Button redirects to page other than previous page

Yes. I'm an idiot. I do have those redirects in there. I am revisiting this project after a few years and am trying to relearn how I did it before. I will keep at it and see if I can also figure out how to make the go back button work correctly.

Back Button redirects to page other than previous page

Oh, sorry, to get the "Next" button, I just use the "Save" button, that for some reason takes me to the next page when I click it. Where are the files that contain the logic for how these buttons work? I would like to understand better how these work, because it seems somewhat inconsistent, at...

Back Button redirects to page other than previous page

I go to Forms, then select the form I want to add the button to, then go to the button tab, then choose the "Back" button. Is there something wrong with me doing it that way?
We are in need of some funding.
More details.

Thank you.
