• Hello Fabrik Community

Fabrik is now in the hands of the development team that brought you Fabrik for Joomla 4. We have recently transitioned the Fabrik site over to a new server and are busy trying to clean it up. We have upgraded the site to Joomla 4 and are running the latest version of Fabrik 4. We have also upgraded the Xenforo forum software to the latest version. Many of the widgets you might have been used to on the forum are no longer operational, many abandoned by the developers. We hope to bring back some of the important ones as we have time.

    Exciting times to be sure.

The Fabrik 4.0 Official release is now available. In addition, the Fabrik codebase is now available in a public repository. See the notices about these in the announcements section

We wish to shout out a very big Thank You to all of you who have made donations. They have really helped. But we can always use more...wink..wink..

Also a big Thank You to those of you who have been assisting others in the forum. This takes a very big burden off of us as we work on bugs, the website and the future of Fabrik.

Count calculation problem on checkbox element

Hi,

I added a count calculation on a checkbox element, split by the same element.
It counts correctly but instead of the labels it shows the values.
J!3.8.3, F! Github from 6/12/2017
Maybe a possible bug?

Thanks!

Yes, I shall attempt to do that. You may need to bump this though, as I'm up to my eyeballs in J! 4.0 migration code atm.

Sorry, I've been working on this, but anything to do with calculations is a pain, the code is very opaque. I'll have another go at it today.

Hi Hugh,

I don't use grouping. It's a simple list.
As I said it doesn't count the values. In our example should be something like:
Player: 2
Coach: 2
Medical: 1
Total: 5

Oh, right. No, it won't work like that. The count query just counts unique values in the field, with "SELECT DISTINCT <pk>, <element_name>". Maybe once MySQL 5.7 is in wide use we could do some kind of clever JSON handling to break down the checkbox JSON values, but not now.

It might potentially work that way if you do a checkbox join, so the option are in a many-to-many join, although you'd need to test that.

We are in need of some funding.
More details.

Thank you.
