create a document code

Hello to all in a module I entered a "Folder" field and a "document code" field that is automatically populated by writing the value of the "folder" / "id" field: how should I set the form or fields?
example:
folder: 2
id: 1
document code: 2/1

Finally, when I save the record, I would like to get the message out: you generated the "document 2/1" code Thank you

The new Sequence element automatically creates the next number. If you want the user to enter the numbers then this is not for you.

The user does not have to enter the numbers. he just has to get the document code with a formula. can you suggest me some post where to refer? Thank you
