Date Time Major BUG

@cheesegrits

It looks since latest Github update, there is bug in Date_Time stamp function. TIME STAMP is always returns to 00:00 for default.

How to check ?
Create a new list with default elements
Check TIME in date_time after submitting new rows in form, it always show 00:00

It only changes if you enable select Time Option in backend of date_time and manually select time. Rest of the time it is fixed to 00:00. I believe it should return Current Server Time depending on UTC / Local setting

I tried multiple times, but same error.

Even, I am getting following error since latest github update

I think the Timestamp element has not worked like people expect it to work for many years.

Instead, you may have better luck using the Date element: -> Date Formats: -> Always return today's date.

Always return today's date - Regardless of any other setting the element will always show today's date. Useful when you want to record the date/time that the record was updated.

Try with this format: Y-m-d h:i:s
So it works properly, but of course it is a temporary solution.
I hope a recent solution.

Thank you. But the problem is of current Time Stamp when I want to record current time (h:i:s) for readonly date_time element.

I believe this can be easily solved, if we add one more option:

Date element: -> Formating & Time: -> Always return current Time. (Yes/No)

yeah, this is bad... all of my new new rows are timestamped 00:00:00 now. the date works, but the time is always 00:00:00. just started happening recently post 1/3/19 at least.

i am using date element (not timestamp element type) with Default to current date = Yes and Always return current Time. = No

***for me when i put in h:i:s on the form format, it always puts in 12:00:00 (and the correct date) so 12pm vs. H:i:s for form formatting which i have in all of my forms puts in 00:00:00. so that does do something...

i tried setting the default in the db to CURRENT_TIMESTAMP and fabrik is overriding it and storing with 00:00:00 or 12:00:00. (tried advanced formats = yes also on the advanced tab).

for me, the only workaround was to select Always return current Time. = Yes (perhaps that what @sunnyjey is saying). but i would like to be able to set Default to current date = Yes and Always return current Time. = No to record when the row was created (not edited) and that has stopped working as far as the TIME goes.

I don't seem to be able to replicate either of those. A 'jdate' in a repeat group set to "default to today" seems to correctly default each repeat. And hidden 'date' element's now correctly return the time part.

I'm sorry. I know it's getting very rough around this element, but I think there are really bugs in the elements.
From videos you'll see what situations are happening. I pay attention to checking when creating a new subgroup when editing record.

Joomla 3.9.4 clean install only with akeeba backup.

Install Fabrik from Joomla Web Install:

2. jdate problem
I think problem is from Time format option.

In fact, I was about to open this thread again. I too downloaded latest GitHub, but still facing the same problem of time stamp 000000 for hidden like mentioned by @startpoint

We are in need of some funding.
More details.

Thank you.
