• Hello Fabrik Community

Fabrik is now in the hands of the development team that brought you Fabrik for Joomla 4. We have recently transitioned the Fabrik site over to a new server and are busy trying to clean it up. We have upgraded the site to Joomla 4 and are running the latest version of Fabrik 4. We have also upgraded the Xenforo forum software to the latest version. Many of the widgets you might have been used to on the forum are no longer operational, many abandoned by the developers. We hope to bring back some of the important ones as we have time.

    Exciting times to be sure.

The Fabrik 4.0 Official release is now available. In addition, the Fabrik codebase is now available in a public repository. See the notices about these in the announcements section

We wish to shout out a very big Thank You to all of you who have made donations. They have really helped. But we can always use more...wink..wink..

Also a big Thank You to those of you who have been assisting others in the forum. This takes a very big burden off of us as we work on bugs, the website and the future of Fabrik.

[edit] - Bit.ly credentials in Twitter form plugin

Hello,
I'm using Twitter form plugin and I don't find what I need to fill in the field of plugin conf.
There are two fields : login and APIKEY

On bit.ly I have something different with :
Access TOKEN -> it doesn't work
And couple of : client ID and CLient secret and it doesn't work too

Someone has already achieve this ?
Other question: Why the plugin still limit to 140 characters ?

If someone has an idea
Jean-Marc

Ok I think I've found how to set 280 characters in twitter.php
I hope it's this -> NOPE still 140 characters. :(
But still fail with bit.ly

Did you look this one up in the Wiki: http://fabrikar.com/forums/index.php?wiki/twitter-form-plugin/
There is quite a bit explained, obviously. You see, bit.ly is optional, but as if the other credentials, if you want or need it but it doesn't work, then not sure why as I don't use it.
Possible reasons for anything in the plugin not working:
- The plugin is old and has sure not been maintained since a long time.
- Twitter and/or bit.ly might have changed their APIs since.

As for the 140 chars limit:
Again, the plugin is old. If you want to change the limit, look up and possibly edit the file /plugins/fabrik_form/twitter/twitter.php around line 53.
Also note the comment around line 401 regarding this...

Thx
OK for bit.ly it's not a big deal, I can understand.

For the max lenght of the message it's what I did but my message is still set on 140 characters on line 53.
I've just pass the variable to false. Now It's OK.
My tweet will never have more than 200 characters.

Thanks again

We are in need of some funding.
More details.

Thank you.
