• Hello Fabrik Community

Fabrik is now in the hands of the development team that brought you Fabrik for Joomla 4. We have recently transitioned the Fabrik site over to a new server and are busy trying to clean it up. We have upgraded the site to Joomla 4 and are running the latest version of Fabrik 4. We have also upgraded the Xenforo forum software to the latest version. Many of the widgets you might have been used to on the forum are no longer operational, many abandoned by the developers. We hope to bring back some of the important ones as we have time.

    Exciting times to be sure.

The Fabrik 4.0 Official release is now available. In addition, the Fabrik codebase is now available in a public repository. See the notices about these in the announcements section

We wish to shout out a very big Thank You to all of you who have made donations. They have really helped. But we can always use more...wink..wink..

Also a big Thank You to those of you who have been assisting others in the forum. This takes a very big burden off of us as we work on bugs, the website and the future of Fabrik.

Forced Recalc Total

Hi,
I am using the total plugin to calculate the total of an installment plan. In the group repeated for each plan, it calculates the total of the installment (amount multiplied by number and multiplied by fractionation). Then in another group there is a total field that adds them. Unfortunately this sum only updates when I press the add or delete button in the repeated group. Is there a way (javascript or other) to force the recalculation?

The simplest way will probably be some custom JS script, indeed. Depending on what'll work best for your form, I guess you could use a blur or click event on some element(s), then recalculate the total and have it replacing the old value. Or instead have the total recalculated every X milliseconds in a setInterval() function.

Thank you.
in fact it is the solution that I think to adopt but I have not found examples of codes to use in this case

Yes,
but I have already done several searches and at the moment I don't find anything that works at the moment

Well, I guess if you can't do it, you may want to consider hiring someone who can. To take all guesswork out, you'll need to provide them complete detailed information on what you want, best also give them access to the form, and FTP as well.

Thank you for the suggestion, which we will evaluate anyway. In any case, I will make some further personal attempts first.

We are in need of some funding.
More details.

Thank you.
