When trying to set up the pre-filter on one of my lists, as explained in

http://fabrikar.com/forums/index.php?wiki/pre-filters/

in the last section where a user can see only the records he/she created,
i get "invalid form" message error from the webpage.

When i created the element with the plugin user, it created 2 elements:

1. {user_element_name}
2. {user_element_name}(raw)

is it normal?

Selecting both of these fields in the prefilter query(one at a time ofcourse)gives the same error..

Thnks

It's normal to see
element
and
element(raw)
for user and dbjoin elements (so you can prefilter on the value or the label)

Where do you get the error, in the backend if you want to save your list after defining the prefilter?
Or in the frontend, if the user wants to access the list?

Can you post a screenshot of your prefilter settings?

Here is the screenshot u asked for.

Yes, the error occur in backend when trying to save the changes on pre-filter

Thnks for the help!

I can see such an popup error message only if the list label is missing.
Can you check if there's anything (maybe in a closed group)?

That's coming from the built in Joomla form validator. As far as I know, the only required fields when editing a List are the ID, the list label, and the data connection (those marked with a red star).

Are any of those three fields empty? I can't imagine that ID or Connection would be empty, so is (as troester suggests) your List Label empty?

Thnks guys for the answers.

Indeed, the problem isn't at pre-filter. Even I open the list's options and just press "Save" without making any kind of changes I get the invalid form error!

Of course, the fields u mention, are all completed...

What exactly do u mean when u say:

"Can you check if there's anything (maybe in a closed group)?"

Any ideas?

Joomla will mark e.g. the list label field with a red border if it is empty, but you'll see this only if "Details" group is open.

Is the issue on all your existing lists?
or only if you are creating a new one?

Found the error.

It was a plug-in without data.It was in red colour, so I saw that was it. I pressed delete and the list edited fine!

Thnks for the help!

Glad you got it sorted. As Troester says, anything outlined in red will cause a validation failure when you try and submit the page. That goes for any J! backend page, it's a J! thing, not a Fabrik thing.
