Workaround juser form plugin: cannot add new user with Allow User Registration set to No

Hi
Has something changed with the juser form plugin since F4.5/J!5.2.3?
Having upgraded to both the above, when I try to add a new user from the front end using a Fabrik form and the juser plugin, I get an error message "Access Forbidden - Registration not enabled". (The Joomla User setting "Allow User Registration" is set to No as I don't want users self-registering.)
I can get around it by changing the Bypass Joomla settings in the juser plugin to ignore the Joomla settings, so it's not a problem but it definitely wasn't doing this before the latest upgrades.

There was no change in the juser plugin since 2024-07-31.
Maybe something has changed with J!5.x.

What were you last working J! and Fabrik versions?

I upgraded both at the same time, so probably J!5.2.2 and F4.4.1. It could have been earlier but probably not.
I tested creating a user in Joomla back end (i.e. not using Fabrik) and it worked fine. Strange.

I've had a quick look at the Changelogs for J!5.2.2 and 5.2.3 but can't see anything obvious. There's one mention of users but relates to Password Reset.
Happy to close this and change the Prefix to "Workaround" (but I can't do that, only "Solved"!)
