hello

I just changed my page from http to https. Using the link elements I have different links that have to be http and not https. Since I have changed my page to https all the link elements where automatically also changed to https. Unfortunately a lot of the links we are referring to only exist in http and not in https. This now creates an error.

Please try the first link in the first table of https://www.samariter-osv.ch/verband/ueber-uns/vereine "Homepage des Vereins" at Betten-Bettmeralp.

Can you please give me a hint on how to fix that problem?

Thank you

Hello Hugh

Thank you very much. I will try it this weekend. Just a question. I take the four files from github, replace them on my site. Will these changes remain in the next Fabrik release or not?

Regards

Roger

No, don't "cherry pick" files from github, as you never know whether changes in that commit may rely on changes in other commits. Always do a full update. See wiki link in my sig.

Yes. Once a change is in github, it's there. Releases are built from github.

Sorry for not answering in such a long time, had some major health problems...
I finally tested this and found out that it is working in the backend, but not in the frontend... I'm on Joomla 3.6.5 and Fabrik 3.5.2. Since this new release came out in January I assume that the changes in GIT should already be in.

I think I misunderstood your original issue. The code I added only changes http to https, so if your links are stored as http, but your site loads with https, it'll change the link to https.

Can you look in your actual table data, and see if they are actually stored as http or https? As far as I know, we shouldn't have made any changes to that data, so I'm puzzled as to why your links are being changed, unless they were stored without the http:// prefix.

Hello Hugh

I had a look into the database. The links are stored with http, I tried some without http, but same problem.

Please see attachment links.JPG

Thanks
