Modal/Pop-Up Box Position

I'm having trouble getting my pop-up windows to not jump to the bottom of the page when a plugin is selected from the dropdown at a particular record in the list. The modal window appears in the bottom left corner of the page with nothing (no options) but the window header "UPDATE". Additionally, on this particular list, any time I click advanced search, it does not open the modal window, but instead just open a new unformatted html tab for defining search criteria. My other lists open a modal box as expected.

Any known solutions? This is only happening in one of my lists, even though my display-related settings are identical from list to list and other non-Fabrik components, plugins, modules are identical from page to page.
