• Hello Fabrik Community

Fabrik is now in the hands of the development team that brought you Fabrik for Joomla 4. We have recently transitioned the Fabrik site over to a new server and are busy trying to clean it up. We have upgraded the site to Joomla 4 and are running the latest version of Fabrik 4. We have also upgraded the Xenforo forum software to the latest version. Many of the widgets you might have been used to on the forum are no longer operational, many abandoned by the developers. We hope to bring back some of the important ones as we have time.

    Exciting times to be sure.

The Fabrik 4.0 Official release is now available. In addition, the Fabrik codebase is now available in a public repository. See the notices about these in the announcements section

We wish to shout out a very big Thank You to all of you who have made donations. They have really helped. But we can always use more...wink..wink..

Also a big Thank You to those of you who have been assisting others in the forum. This takes a very big burden off of us as we work on bugs, the website and the future of Fabrik.

Modifying search results in list view

Hi,

here's my problem: I have a list which contains element with IP addresses (it's VARCHAR, because the addresses have added brackets, wildcards etc.). I wanted MySQL to order the IP properly, so I used workaround (table view with modified select). The thing is - 'ip_address' is also my search filter (autocomplete list), but when I type an IP, I don't want to have only the one matching record displayed, I'd like to have displayed - say - 5 IP addresses that are on the list before searched IP and 5 IPs that are on the list after the searched IP. And when I write 'list', I mean the 'quasi' list that is conneced to a table view and have IPs in the right order.

IP addresses are being added in random order, so record ID have to use here, I'm afraid.

For example, if I have in my table IPs from 192.168.100.1 to 192.168.100.255 and in search filter I type '192.168.100.30', in the search results in list view I'd like to see records with IPs from 192.168.100.25 to 192.168.100.35.

Do you know how to achieve this?

Cheers,

Olek
