• Hello Fabrik Community

    Fabrik is now in the hands of the development team that brought you Fabrik for Joomla 4. We have recently transitioned the Fabrik site over to a new server and are busy trying to clean it up. We have upgraded the site to Joomla 4 and are running the latest version of Fabrik 4. We have also upgraded the Xenforo forum software to the latest version. Many of the widgets you might have been used to on the forum are no longer operational, many abandoned by the developers. We hope to bring back some of the important ones as we have time.

    Exciting times to be sure.

    The Fabrik 4.0 Official release is now available. In addition, the Fabrik codebase is now available in a public repository. See the notices about these in the announcements section

    We wish to shout out a very big Thank You to all of you who have made donations. They have really helped. But we can always use more...wink..wink..

    Also a big Thank You to those of you who have been assisting others in the forum. This takes a very big burden off of us as we work on bugs, the website and the future of Fabrik.

Repeat Group iteration with calc

I am using calc element to calculate dynamic number of Group rows to load. This is working good.

But, i am not able to delete or add any extra group when I am using Calc as Repeat Num Element.

Steps to produce:
1. In calc element return some number for eg '4'.
2. Set this Calc element in the setting of Repeat Group for Number of Repeats
3. It loads 4 group rows. Now try to add or delete Group in the form.

You can not use same number as repeat num. Fabrik can only return repeat number which tells how many rows are in repeat group.

Lets clarify: if calc elent return some X value you like to add X empty rows in repeat group? That is not travial just a simple loop:

JavaScript:
function add_groups(el) {

    var form = Fabrik.getBlock('form_15');
    var myRepeat = el.form.formElements.get('formName___elementName').getValue();

    if (myRepeat > 0) {

        for (var i = 0; i < myRepeat; i++) {

            var add_btn = el.form.form.getElement('#group22 .addGroup'); // change to your group number

            var add_row = new Event.Mock(add_btn, 'click');

            el.form.duplicateGroup(add_row, false);

        }
    } else {
        do something;
    }
}

... you need to set a trigger on some element or to a button to call function.

We are in need of some funding.
More details.

Thank you.
