Rev 275: Element with Access set to different level stores null

When you have an element set with a default value, but Access set to nobody and read only access is set to public, the default value is not stored to the database or emailed. It is however displayed on the form correctly as read only.

Expected behavior:
When you create an element with a default value on a new record the default value should get stored and or emailed regardless of the user's ability to view or modify it.

I can see why you would expect / need that behaviour.

I'll see what I can do. At this point I have no idea how hard / easy it might be.
