[SOLVED] Googlemap form plugin

Hi,

So I've attached 1 screenshot depicting the issue, which is when the Googlemap field is loaded, it shows the error message:
"Oops! Something went wrong.
This page didn't load Google Maps correctly. See the JavaScript console for technical details."

I then attached many screenshots showing the settings.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks in advance,

Hxpowersmash

since 22 of June Google requires an APIkey. Create one in your Google account and add it in Fabrik 'Options'

I'm still getting the exact same error, even after creating an API key from my Google account and adding it in the Fabrik 'Options' (and by 'Options' you mean configurations?)

And when I say that I've created an API key, I've created one for server and one for browser (I'm not sure which one is right), the other two are android and IOS key, but I'm sure they aren't the ones we are looking at?

Please see screenshot attachments

You'll need to update from github to pick up the changes to our code that now include the required API key.

Please let me know if there is a tutorial out there that shows how this is done? Or if you would be so kindly as to give me brief instructions on how to do that? Just not sure here, I haven't touched github in a few years...

Thanks!

Did you read the wiki section on installing and upgrading?

TLDR ...

Download and unzip ...

https://github.com/Fabrik/fabrik/archive/master.zip

... then use you ftp client of choice (I use FileZilla) to upload everything to overwrite the files on your server. You can leave out the top level files and the fabrik_build folder, if you like, just upload the folders which are part of the standard J! install (administrator, components, plugins, etc).

Thank you for being so patient and supportive with me Cheesegrits and Troester. After correctly downloading, unzipping and merging the Fabrik master file, this issue was resolved.

And for those who may not know which API to select from Google, it is server key 1, not browser key 1.

Get the API from: console.developers.google.com/apis/

Once you get it, which should be free, go to System > Global Configuration > Fabrik > Google Maps API key (inserted the API in this field)

We are in need of some funding.
More details.

Thank you.
