ok that was an issue in both 3.0 and 3.1 - should be fixed in both

i think i updated the github and i think it's still doing this.

i tested on your site and its working for me
If i create a new dropdown element, leave the first sub options blank, and press save I get the validation alert.
If I then do the same but fill in the eval options text area, I can save the element.

Perhaps double check that you cleared the browser cache?
