• Hello Fabrik Community

    Fabrik is now in the hands of the development team that brought you Fabrik for Joomla 4. We have recently transitioned the Fabrik site over to a new server and are busy trying to clean it up. We have upgraded the site to Joomla 4 and are running the latest version of Fabrik 4. We have also upgraded the Xenforo forum software to the latest version. Many of the widgets you might have been used to on the forum are no longer operational, many abandoned by the developers. We hope to bring back some of the important ones as we have time.

    Exciting times to be sure.

    The Fabrik 4.0 Official release is now available. In addition, the Fabrik codebase is now available in a public repository. See the notices about these in the announcements section

    We wish to shout out a very big Thank You to all of you who have made donations. They have really helped. But we can always use more...wink..wink..

    Also a big Thank You to those of you who have been assisting others in the forum. This takes a very big burden off of us as we work on bugs, the website and the future of Fabrik.

Using Scheduled Task for email alerts

I want to create a schedule that sends an email to some@some.com whenever the list has a value for the elements 'due_date_out' and 'due_date_in' and no value for 'actual_date_in'. I am using SMTP in Joomla and that works fine. The elements being checked look like this:
upload_2021-10-28_9-33-2.png
So once the first two have a value and the third has no value, send the email. How do I set this up in Scheduled Task?

Scheduled task system plugin enabled?
Valid email, subject, message?
Any row returning true in condition? (0 is no date format)

You can "run" a scheduled task from the backend manually, including e.g. debug output and exit;

In phpmyadmin I am seeing the date elements are default to NULL:
upload_2021-10-28_11-52-56.png

In the condition block can I use is_null to check if the date elements are set?
Code:
$in = '{rad_rentals___due_date_out}';
$out = '{rad_rentals___due_date_in}';
$actual = '{rad_rentals___actual_date_in}';
if(is_null($in))
{  }
else
{  }

"Test mode" is for using "Run" in the backend and get some debug output for every row which would send something. So

After assigning a placeholder (= a string which may be empty) a variable is always set.
Use empty() (but this is php, not Fabrik).

We are in need of some funding.
More details.

Thank you.
