Validation for not mandatory field.

Hugh, I found that the problem is while using field with validation. Referring on this issue http://fabrikar.com/forums/index.ph...using-about-php-validation.33237/#post-237117

This field became required field. It is not always necessary to have field with validation and required field. May be there is some way how to customize it. Did not find yet.

Not sure what you mean. Can you explain exactly what you are trying to do and what the problem is.

I would like to setup just validation on the field. But when I try to do it, field became mandatory, I want just have field with validation without "required option". But It is became required by default.

OK, I'm still not clear what you mean by "mandatory".

Do you mean that you only want to validate it if it has been filled in, but allow it if it is empty?

Or are you talking about the text on the tooltip that says "this is a required field"?

Or are you talking about the "Must Validate" option, which will disable the Save button until an AJAX validation has been performed on the element?

Which validation plugin?

php: return true if the validation is successful (so in case of correct input or in case of empty)

all plugins: use the condition field to return false (= don't run the validation) if empty

Isnumeric and isemail both have an "Allow empty" option built in (so no need to use the condition)
