Plug-in system (2.0)

The main architectural change in Fabrik 2.0 is a completely new plug in architecture. This allows developers to create:

• New element types (we already have captcha, Google map, Open streetmaps, rating)
• Form processor scripts - email, redirection and receipts are all in a series of form processor plug ins. Developers can add new plug ins types such as an SMS notifier or user account creation script
• Table plug-in - create buttons that add functionality to your table - some examples include emailing and duplicating records
• Visualizations - this powerful concept allows you to create completely new 'views' on you data. Out of the box we supply charts, Google maps and an AJAX calendar
• Validations - build unique validation rules for your data, to ensure that ths submitted data matches your requirements.

Plug ins can be installed and unistalled in the same way as normal Joomla plug ins - by simply uploading a zip file via the Fabrik administration interface.
