Date/Time not capturing time

Hi, not sure if something changed along the way, but it seems the time is not captured anymore in Date/Time field.

Here's an example of what is captured: 2019-04-25 00:00:00

It gets the date right, but time is always 0. Have noticed this for awhile now across more than one site.
 
I actually updated this morning. Trying to see whether it might be a caching issue, but so far it does not seem like it.

Is it necessary to change any configuration of the element? Mine is set to the default settings for that element when a list is a created.
 
I think you must set "Show time selector" to yes (and it seems you must not have ajax validation enabled).
 
Thanks troester. That seems to have done the trick. I see there is an extra input tag with the time as value when I switch that on. BTW, I have Ajax validation enabled.

Only thing is, it seems the form takes quite a while to submit now.
