• Hello Fabrik Community

Fabrik is now in the hands of the development team that brought you Fabrik for Joomla 4. We have recently transitioned the Fabrik site over to a new server and are busy trying to clean it up. We have upgraded the site to Joomla 4 and are running the latest version of Fabrik 4. We have also upgraded the Xenforo forum software to the latest version. Many of the widgets you might have been used to on the forum are no longer operational, many abandoned by the developers. We hope to bring back some of the important ones as we have time.

    Exciting times to be sure.

The Fabrik 4.0 Official release is now available. In addition, the Fabrik codebase is now available in a public repository. See the notices about these in the announcements section

We wish to shout out a very big Thank You to all of you who have made donations. They have really helped. But we can always use more...wink..wink..

Also a big Thank You to those of you who have been assisting others in the forum. This takes a very big burden off of us as we work on bugs, the website and the future of Fabrik.

How to import CSV to databasejoin list?

If importing to create a new list: see Wiki and the note there
Note: CSV import is not going to work if your list has joined data. CSV files by their nature represent a information about a single row of data, it doesn't contain relationship information and thus we would find it very hard to guess the implied relationships in the CSV data when it comes to re-importing it back into a relational database.

If importing data into an existing list: do a CSV export to see what you're getting, means what you'll need for an import.

1." CSV import is not going to work if your list has joined data",does it mean we couldn't import CSV data to a list which has joined data?
2."If importing data into an existing list: do a CSV export to see what you're getting, means what you'll need for an import".Does this procedure only used for a single list which without joined data?

1. You quoted a sentence, then basically repeated it and asked if that's what it means. What answer do you expect now?

2. Whatever list you have, make a test CSV export (create a few test records first if the list is empty). What you get should be your "template" for a CSV to be imported. Do some testing with raw values versus others.

We are in need of some funding.
More details.

Thank you.
