• Hello Fabrik Community

Fabrik is now in the hands of the development team that brought you Fabrik for Joomla 4. We have recently transitioned the Fabrik site over to a new server and are busy trying to clean it up. We have upgraded the site to Joomla 4 and are running the latest version of Fabrik 4. We have also upgraded the Xenforo forum software to the latest version. Many of the widgets you might have been used to on the forum are no longer operational, many abandoned by the developers. We hope to bring back some of the important ones as we have time.

    Exciting times to be sure.

The Fabrik 4.0 Official release is now available. In addition, the Fabrik codebase is now available in a public repository. See the notices about these in the announcements section

We wish to shout out a very big Thank You to all of you who have made donations. They have really helped. But we can always use more...wink..wink..

Also a big Thank You to those of you who have been assisting others in the forum. This takes a very big burden off of us as we work on bugs, the website and the future of Fabrik.

Multi language page routing after registering or logged in

Of course it is possible to set a specific page to route a logged in user to with Fabrik:

Form / Plugins / Re-direct / Options / Jump Page /MyJumpPage

BUT when there are many languages, everybody should not be routed to e.g. the english Jump Page, but to their own language. Haven't figured out how to do that in Fabrik.

Would be great if the creators of this plugin added a Multi Language Jump Page option. Could this be coming? Very much needed for all international sites.

In the meanwhile, what to do?

Solutions logically could be to check language in their browser OR from which language page they registered or logged in from.

I guess it could be checked in many ways and implemented with PHP etc.

Does anybody know how to route to the same language page as the user used to login on in Fabrik?

The user logs in into Joomla, not Fabrik.

There are Fabrik placeholders for the language of the page the user is on, which is not related to where the user logged in but related to your multi language page setup.
E.g. is every page set up for only one language or some for "all" languages, does every article has it's own language and associations to any other language, did the user select an other language etc.

http://fabrikar.com/forums/index.php?wiki/placeholders/#lang
{lang} and {shortlang}

You can use these to create your jump URL in the redirect plugin or set conditions for multiple redirect plugins.
