Problem with saving item ID instead of sql label.

how do I get some forms, especially those that work with groups that repeat themselves, to save the item's label instead of its ID?

If these are databasejoin elements, just use label in both, value and label settings. And make sure that's what you really want as when the label value changes in another table, your relation is lost.

That's why it's almost always good idea to use id-element as a value.

And keep in mind that the labels must be unique and you should add an index to the label column directly in the database.

@juuser and @troester A question I ended up forgetting to ask, in a listing of mine is showing the ID of a record instead of the field label. How can I make the field name appear instead of the ID?
