Sequence element and view/edit record distinction

Hi,

I'm using sequence element with 'On load' method (believe me, it's the only way in my case). It works exactly like it should, however I'd like the sequence to work only in 'Edit' mode, so when one opens record in 'View' mode, the sequence doesn't increment in database. Maybe there's a way of - I don't know - excluding an element from loading in 'View' mode, so it doesn't trigger sequence incrementation? Or maybe there's other way?

Sequence element only works when adding a new record, it doesn't do anything when editing or viewing an existing record.
