Width of "Name" field in list

In a list I have different records and on the other hand my "Name" field is very large. I can not adjust it (narrower).
Can you help me.

As usual, you can use CSS and e.g. the "max-width" property.

Add custom CSS.
In your list template's custom_css.php something like td.your-full-element-name {max-width: 100px;}

What is amazing, that all my other fields of type "Field" are not extra large. They are the width of the actual entry.
