Bug - Fileupload does not work when in a joined group

My fileupload element does not upload anything if it is inside a joioned group.
If I move it to the "main" group, it works as expected.

Tested on GitHub 1151, but this was an issue already in 1029.

I've added some work on the element, so the basics should be back up and running, testing is required though, so if you have some time to run through it that would be great

Well, now the folder is correctly created, but it's empty and the thumbnail is not created (nor its folder).
Is there a minimum requirement on the GD library? I work locally at the moment with MAMP and the library is: GD: bundled (2.0.34 compatible).

can you paste as screen shot of the element settings please?

I set up my element as per your settings but it works for me, can you let me know the site that this is on so I can take a look?

At the moment I can only work locally, so I'll wait to be online again and test it to see if there is a problem.

OK, it seems that after update 1254, fileupload works fine again.
