Confused about the way the cropping works

I'd like to use (for the first time) the crop function in a fileupload element but I don't seem to make it work.
When is the cropping suppose to occur? On the first upload? On editing?
I got that you have to use Ajax upload to have the cropping, but when I open the form, I see briefly some sliders but they get immediately covered by the upload window and after that I don't see how or when you do the cropping.

Am I using this the wrong way or is there a problem?

Tested on FF with 3.1b/GitHub 191.

can you post a screen shot?
You should see the image, with a red rectangle that represents the crop area.
Both the image and crop area can be moved and the zoom / rotate sliders used to alter the image dimensions.

I did some more test and this is what's happening.
Setting: fresh J! 3.0.3 + F 3.1b + GitHub 191

With JSDebug ON (uncompressed JS), I see the upload box but I don't see the sliders and fields for cropping.

If I turn JSDebug OFF (compressed JS), I see the sliders/fields, but not the upload box and my latest FF or Chrome version is deemed "too old to work".
More seriously, I have a JS error:

Erreur : Error: Script error
http://requirejs.org/docs/errors.html#scripterror
Fichier Source : http://betterliving.be/fabriktest/media/com_fabrik/js/lib/require/require.js
Ligne : 156

can you try updating - the compressed js issue is definitely fixed, not 100% sure about the non-compressed bug - but the fileupload is working ok locally for me.

After Git 217 update, the JS errors are gone and now I see the upload box with JS debug on or off, but I still don't see any sliders or any way to crop an image.

Hello,

Rob, i seen and applied your modifications from Github, but still doesn't work for me on Windows 2008R2 Server. I can create thumbs, but i don't see any option to crop an image. Even more, there is no file saved into folder "crops"

The permissions for the folders seems to be ok..

Unfortunately, i cannot provide a test server, i test this in our intranet..

We are in need of some funding.
More details.

Thank you.
