Sould not the order plugin update order data?

I am using for the first time this plugin and, thanks to the Wiki, I got it working.
However, I am puzzled by one aspect. Is this order permanent ? The "order" element's data is not updated when you change the order, unlike what the tooltip suggests.

My order element is a int(4) type element.

Tested on Fabrik 3.1b + GitHub 80
