width of the element

In the forms the width of the element stay with the same size
i change the width to 100 px for each element texte

I change too the setting of the group to one column and to 88% for the width of this column

Your Joomla template is resetting those values.
If you use a standard Joomla template (append ?template=beez5 to your URL) you'll see large text elements
