email plugin

Good afternoon,

I downloaded and installed the email plugin and birthday plugin for Fabrik 3.2

I made a list for guests birthdays and it is working fine.

I tried to send an email. Filled in the details. ( please see attached file). Use a log email address.

But when I use the run option, I see i record update, but no email is sent.
For the log event mail, that is working correct but see this message:
{Guests_guests_Email_address} is not an email address updates 1 records email listid = 2 ( (MONTH(guests.Birthday) = MONTH(CURDATE()) AND DAY(guests.Birthday) = DAY(CURDATE())) )


Can someone please explain what I am doing wrong.


In the plugin help, it says that I have to have installed the core email plugin, but I can't find that one in my plain manager.

Placeholder syntax is {table___element} (3 underscores).
In your screenshot it doesn't look like this (best is to copy the full element name from the element listing), should be e.g.
{Guests___guests_Email_address}

BTW: if you are running Fabrik3.2 you shouldn't post in 3.0 forum.

You are right, iI used only 1 underscore. Great idea to copy the element from the listing.

It is working right now.

But in the mail all the text is one line.
Copied the line : Dear I Family, b;a bla bla

I used this as an opening for the mail
Dear {guests___Surname} {guests___Name},

b;a bla bla

Is there another trick to have the bla, bla, bla beginning on a new line?
Would like to see:
Dear I Familt,

bla, bla bla
