We have a need to have different default sort settings in different menus. Now the setting is global on the list set in backend. Similar way as "Select" and "Prefilter".

New Commercial Services Section
We have now opened a commercial services section here on the forum for registered users. If you have a Fabrik project that you wish to have someone work on for you, post it under Help Wanted. Both of these are unmoderated. It will be up to both parties to work out the details and come to an agreement.

Sorry about the late response, this one fell through the cracks.
As you obviously see, that isn't currently something we support. It would have to be added as a new feature, which would need be billable work.

Doesn't really work that way. We don't sit down and decide a feature list for a release (beyond our ongoing roadmap of broad brush strokes), we just incrementally add features based on a) if a lot of people ask for them, b) it's a feature we (the authors) need for one of our projects, c) someone codes it up and submits a PR (and it's something we think is useful), or d) someone funds us to do it.
One thing I may look at adding, as it would resolve a number of "can you add such-and-such to the menu settings", which would probably work for you, is a generic "Query string additions", where you could specify any query string you want applied to the link, so you could in this case add orderby=X.
