calc element data in CSV file

Hi I have the following calc concatenating two elements

return '{aaa_participant_claim___first_name}'.' '.'{aaa_participant_claim___last_name}';

It works fine in my list but when i go to export the list to CSV instead of showing "Joe Bloggs" it shows
{aaa_participant_claim___first_name} {aaa_participant_claim___last_name}

I'm using Fabrik 3.5.2 and Joomla 3.6.5
