Cannot disable joined Add/delete icons

Try as I may, I cannot find a way to disable the joined list add/edit record icons in the joined view?

I have disabled access to all elements in the join, I have disabled the add/delete of the list and any other place I could find,

I find when I UNSELECT repeat Rows in the join, then it works correctly, but I need repeat joins for a master detail.

No success.

Am I perhaps missing something? (see attach) I want to disable these buttons
