Hi,
I have a textarea element which have some default text (example text layout) which the user can change to match theirs.
If they don't change the text, I would like the form to submit an empty field. Normally I would use the placeholder (not to be confused with the PHP placeholder) feature to place the example text layout so the user can see what to do, but the field to the placeholder only accepts a single line, then I need multiple lines.
Is there a way to either use multiple-line text as the placeholder or clear the field before submitting?
Please see attached screenshots
