Create a 2nd form for user input

Hi,

I created a list with form & group but I am using the form for display detail only. Now I want to create a new form to input ne record.


DB table name: restaurant_db
List name: restaurant
Form name: restaurant (display detail view of restaurant_db)

New form name for input: restaurant_add (input detail to restaurant_db)

How to create 2nd form and pointing to the same DB table?

Create a new list restaurant_add, in Data tab select database table restaurant_db

or
copy list restaurant, set the new list/form/group name to restaurant_add.

Both methods will give you a new set of list/group/form and elements. The elements are "linked" to their parent elements, they can be unlinked and modified.

Please kindly let be know where us the "linked" option?

If you want to edit one of the new elements it will show you "Element properties linked to xxx" and a unlink checkbox.
If you click on xxx you'll edit the parent element (and so modifying parent + child), if you check "unlink", the child element will become independend.
