Hi ,
I have downloaded Fabrik 3.1 and installed using 'Upload & Install' option
I got a message saying package successfully installed.
But Fabrik is not visible in admin under Components.
In Main menu I see an option to create Fabrik Form or List.
Also all fabrik plugins and modules are installed.
But it is not visible. I also refreshed the site cache ,system cache but in vain.
I later uninstalled and tried installing from directory.
I got the following messages :

Warning

Could you please help me resolve this ?

JLIB_FILESYSTEM_ERROR_COULD_NOT_CREATE_DIRECTORY
Make sure you have write access in all directories.
Depening on your server settings maybe you have to activate the Joomla FTP layer in
System/Global config/Server.

Ok. I will check it. This was for the error when trying to install from directory.
When I install using 'Upload & Install' it is installed successfully but not visible in Admin / Components
Could you please let me know how to resolve this ?

Fabrik is installing a lot of single parts, I assume something got wrong with the main component (so plugins, menu... are visible).
The "successful" message maybe misleading (not reporting the "non-successful" parts).
Check your settings, disk space... and try again.
You may also try to "Install from Web".

It's an additional option in Joomla "ExtensionManager" (not install from URL).
Not quite sure if it was already in Joomla3.2 (I'm running J!3.3).

But I think if your problem is an access issue none of the install options will work.
It's only different ways to get the code but directories have to be created in any case.

Thank You for the quick replies.
You have correctly pointed out that it is access issue.
I have granted write access and now it's fine.

We are in need of some funding.
More details.

Thank you.
