Failed sending email

I have successfully created and published a new and relatively simple form. Whenever I try to submit a form I get an error message:

"Failed sending email" and/or "Failed sending receipt" and then lists the email address(es)

My regular Joomla contact form works fine. What am I doing wrong?

No, it is on a remote server.

check that the form's "Email From:" field is a valid email address?
