Form Layout Labels LEFT doesnt work. Shown above.

Trying to build a form, looks good so far, only problem, I'd like to have the labels left of the fields. There are layout options to have the labels not showing, showing above or showing left.

"None" works as intended, but LEFT and ABOVE look exactly the same.

I tried setting it in Form Layout and Group Layout, same effect. It is always shown above.

As attachment what I'd like to achive and how it looks now.

There must enough space to have the labels left (you may check with your browser tools)
or
If you set the group to >1 columns labels will always be above
or
Your Joomla template doesn't support the standard Fabrik (bootstrap2) classes

You may have to add the bootstrap3 overrides or custom CSS to get what you want.

there seems to be enough space... check attachment.

group columns is set to 1, but i was planning to use 2 in the end... hmmm. so that won't work either then :-(.

as I'm not that experienced with joomla and CSS, I'm a bit lost here.

The template link is showing template date 2012
and says it doesn't use javascript, it's not responsive...
Fabrik is heavily relying on Joomla's JS (as coming with Protostar) so I don't think you'll get far with this.

"JoomSpirit 70" doesn't exist anymore, it's been replaced by "JoomSpirit 121":

A new version of the template 70

However, JoomSpirit 121, which claims to be Bootstrap 3, is (also) missing the CSS to turn both Bootstrap 2 or 3 forms with the "form-horizontal" class like the ones Fabrik uses by default into actual horizontal forms.
So, even with that newer "121" version you won't get what you want without adding at least the missing CSS. And that's before any consideration of JS - which may be complete or not, I don't know.
