Issue while copying lists

I experienced problem while copying lists. All copied list have the same table as a list source. May be it is a feature, but I need to have very similar list with huge number of fields, which I don't want to create from the scratch.

Could you recommend what to do in order to copy list.

If you copy a list this will create a new list on the same DB table (as you've seen).
If you want to reuse the list structure use the "content type":
go to the form listing
click "Export"


This will create a xml file with the structure of your list/form (groups, elements...)
Create a new list, set label and table name, Save
Select the content type you just have created, Save+Close

Please, correct if I am mistaken. In order to make it works I renamed next sections <name></name> , <source> </source>, also it was necessary to rename groups.

You don't need to do anything with the xml file.
Just use this content type.

You can modify the xml, if you know what you are doing.
But you can use the same group names in different forms (it's different group ids) or you can rename your groups in the Fabrik group setting.
