If you're just starting to use or consider using Fabrik, and you happen to have stumbled upon this thread, please know that you probably should find a different basket to put your eggs in.
It was recently announced that Fabrik is joining HyperCard, VB, etc in the graveyard of lost technologies. The project lacks a willing sponsor and the current sponsor has exhausted attempts to land a new sponsor. The technologies used in the project are very dated and unsupported and the update deficit is great.
I'm sorry that someone with more control over the Fabrikar site didn't advise you sooner or more overtly of this turn of events. I hope you haven't invested too much of your time in Fabrik before reading this sad message.
So, what should you use instead? I don't know. There have been many suggestions, but nothing I've explored presents itself as an obvious replacement. Good luck with your search.
