Pre-filtered Lists in a dropdown

Hello...I have a list with more than 100k records in it. Works well. However, I need to set up few pre filters for the most popular keywords (may be 20-25) so that they can act as short cuts. No problem upto this stage. But I need to put all these pre filterd lists in a dropdown so that the list can be selected with one click. Dropdown will be within the main list. Can someone guide me what is the best way to do this...? Or any alternative...?

What do you mean with "Dropdown within the main list"? Do you want to show a filter element?

You could use a dbjoin to a table with your keywords, render as checkbox and the filter set to dbjoin or checkbox, depending on if you want to filter for one keyword or multiple keywords (ORed).
Or a tags element.
